A sense of pride and duty filled the air as students in the PACE Program welcomed a special guest, Sergeant Pinto, a United States Marine Corps recruiter, into their classroom. The visit aimed to provide students with valuable insights into the Marine Corps, its values, and potential career opportunities while inspiring a sense of service and commitment to their country.
The PACE classroom was filled with the lively sounds of music, the aromas of delicious cuisine, and a colorful display of culture, as the PACE students and the ESL department came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. The month-long celebration, which runs from September 15th to October 15th, aims to recognize and honor the rich cultural contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities in the United States. For the PACE Program, the celebration was held on the afternoon of October 12th.
